I have joined the blogging world. A friend told me I should do this and share my ideas and ideals about Early Childhood Education. How children learn...what children really need to be independent and successful learners is not what we necessarily have been teaching them over the years.
If I figure this blogging stuff out, you will read a lot about three very influential educators who have guided my journey. One of the first teachers who inspired me was my sons' preschool teacher Daina. She was so far ahead of her time in terms of letting children explore their surroundings. The other two are more famous and I know you have probably heard of them. Bev Bos is my hero!! Oh my goodness, there is no one like her! Her school (Roseville Community School) is amazing...visiting her centre in Roseville, Ca was such an eye opener for me. Wow!!
